Blue & Indigo Block Print Sarees — The Colour of Rajasthan
Indigo is the soul colour of Rajasthani block printing. For centuries, artisans in Bagru and Sanganer have used natural indigo to create the deep, rich blues that define traditional Indian textiles. Every saree in this collection carries that legacy — hand block printed on pure mulmul cotton, with motifs pressed one impression at a time.
Shades of Blue in This Collection
This collection spans the full blue spectrum — from pale sky blues to deep navy, from bright cobalt to classic indigo. Each shade is achieved through hand dyeing and block printing techniques passed down through generations.
- Deep indigo — rich, versatile, pairs with gold, white, or burnt orange
- Cobalt blue — bold, vibrant, ideal for festive occasions
- Teal and aqua — fresh and contemporary, perfect for daywear
- Navy — timeless and elegant, works for formal and casual settings
Pure Mulmul Cotton — India's Most Breathable Weave
All sarees in this collection are woven from pure mulmul cotton — the lightest fabric in Indian textiles. At 5.5 metres with a 47-inch width, it drapes fluidly and keeps you cool even in peak summer. Blue mulmul sarees are especially popular for summer weddings, outdoor events, and travel.
How to Style Blue & Indigo Sarees
Pair deep indigo sarees with a contrasting white, ivory, or mustard blouse for maximum impact. Cobalt blue works beautifully with gold or silver blouses. For a monochromatic look, combine different shades of blue in the saree and blouse. Silver jhumkas and oxidised jewellery complement the indigo aesthetic perfectly.
Care Instructions
Hand wash in cold water separately — indigo dyes may bleed slightly on first wash. Dry in shade. Light iron on the reverse side. Do not use bleach.
